NMAND’S Diversity and Inclusion Statement

The New Mexico Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is committed to inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA) by recognizing and respecting differences with all Licensed Dietitians, Nutritionists and Registered Dietetic Technicians and their clients, patients, and the consumers they serve.

New Mexico has a very diverse population with different cultures that makes our state unique.   As Dietetic Professionals learn about the different cultures of the people they serve, both the professionals and their clients benefit from an enriched learning environment, as education messages are adjusted to meet the individual and population needs.

ACADEMY DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION STATEMENT

The Academy encourages inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA) by striving to recognize, respect and include differences in ability, age, creed, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, size, and socioeconomic characteristics in the nutrition and dietetics profession.
