Now accepting speaker and poster proposals for the 2016 NMAND Annual Meeting

Submission forms for speaker proposals and poster presentations for the 2016 NMAND Annual Meeting are now available on the NMAND website. Simply go to the "Submit a 2016 Annual Meeting Presentation Proposal" tab and click on the kind of proposal you want to submit. Proposals are submitted via an online form. The Annual Meeting Planning Committee will be accepting speaker proposals until January 4, 2016.


2016 NMAND Annual Meeting

The NMAND Annual Meeting Planning Committee is seeking exhibitors,
advertisers, and sponsors for the 2016 NMAND Annual Meeting. The 2016
meeting is scheduled to be held April 25 and 26, 2016 at the Hilton Santa
Fe Historic Plaza in Santa Fe, NM. If you or your employer is interested in
participating in the annual meeting as an exhibitor, advertiser, or
sponsor, please contact Carey Jameson at or Heith
Martinez at for details. We will also be accepting
donations for a silent auction.


Congratulations to Bryn Smith, recipient of the 2015 Karen Sadeghian Memorial Scholarship!

NMAND would like to congratulate our Fall 2015 Karen Sadeghian Memorial Scholarship recipient Bryn Smith. Bryn is a graduate student and teaching assistant at the University of New Mexico. Bryn teaches a section of NUTR 244 Human Nutrition and also works as a Registered Dietitian at Sandia National Laboratories.


Registration for the Karen Sadeghian Symposium is now open

Please join us for the fall 2015 Karen Sadeghian Syposium on Saturday, November 7 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the CNM main campus. CEUs are available. To register, click on "Fall Event Registration" under the "Meetings and Events" tab.

The event will include a Oaxacan culinary demonstration presented by David Sellers from the Street Food Institute. David will also provide information on the Street Food Institute programs and discuss how the Street Food Institute is working to improve access to nourishing, affordable local food in our community. The Karen Sadeghian scholarship will also be awarded. Students can access the scholarship application by clicking on "Student Scholarships" under the "Student Section" tab. Eligibility criteria are listed on the application. Applications are due by November 1, 2015.
