NMAND Board Leadership Nomination Form

Why serve on the NMAND Board?

  • enhances your leadership skills
  • provides an opportunity to network with other members
  • helps shape the future of our profession at the local, state, and national level
  • pays it forward to those who have served before you
  • sets an example to students and those just entering the profession
  • earns CPEUs (up to 3 per year for elected positions)
  • additional skill development, CPEU opportunities, travel, depending on the position (e.g., policy or media skills, FNCE attendance)

Not sure if you have enough time, or concerned that you live and practice too far away?

Open positions appeal to many areas of practice, and they also fall across a time commitment continuum, with some positions requiring a small amount of time, while others require more. The positions with more time commitment tend to have the added benefit of additional training and CPEU opportunities, and some with paid travel to Academy meetings and conferences. All board members are required to attend just four quarterly board meetings (preferably in person, but call-in arrangements can be made). NMAND works to achieve a meeting schedule that accommodates the needs of all board members while ensuring maximum participation and engagement. To accommodate the long travel distances in our state, and depending on the needs of the group, many committee meetings can be conducted over conference call or video chat.

*We welcome board members from across the state to best represent our membership.*

Elections will be open for two weeks, from May 23rd - May 30th. All terms begin June 1, 2018.
